Standard, Standards, Standardize.

test

Having taken so many standardized tests in my, life, I have realized they serve only a purpose for the school system and government to stereotype us. Not for us, they don’t help us one bit on learning what we have to do with our lives or what we should look into.

They are the easy way out for the school system, they give us a test and learn who we are by numbers instead of who we really are as people. If more people took time to learn who kids are and what they wanted to do with their lives they could help many of the kids out who end up on the street. I don’t blame though really, it would be a hassle to learn every school going kid out there, but at least they could make an effort to make things easier for the kids who don’t want a cookie cutter job such as; doctor, lawyer, teacher.

The system is getting outdated fast, times are changing fast. Some of the highest paid jobs right now aren’t the ones you might expect, not the usual doctor or pilot, but web design, graphic design, programming. Most don’t believe it, I didn’t at first, but when you look at everywhere technology is used, you realize it is very possible. Sure doctors have to know the illness and symptoms, but they depend on technology to hold their hand through the process. \

What I’m getting at is that we are at the dawn of a new era, the technology era. And many things are changing, for the better or for the worse, but one thing is certain, it is not slowing down or coming to a halt. New developments and discoveries happen every day, and they will be happening, for a long time to come.

So remember kids, just because your parents want you to be a successful person, doesn’t mean you have to be a doctor or lawyer, but just do what you love. You will find your way.
